After the two very successful Human Lasallian Star formations in De La Salle University-Dasmarinas in the Philippines, the International Council of Young of Lasallians, in collaboration with the Secretariat for the Lasallian Educational Mission, followed suit with an invitation to ALL La Salle schools in the world to form their own stars from April 7, 2011 to May 15, 2011. Billed as, 'Many Stars ... One La Salle', the activity aimed to promote the worldwide Lasallian network on the occasion of the upcoming celebrations of the Founder's feasts. 2011 was the 360th anniversary of the birth of St. John Baptist De La Salle (1651 -- 2011). Uploaded in this album are some of the photos downloaded from the Young Lasallian' Concils FB account and in the Many Stars.. One La Salle Event Page. We're pretty sure that there are more photos. We hope to upload them all. Participated in by La Salle schools and Lasallians from all over the world (such as Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Great Britain, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Guatemala, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Spain, Turkey, Columbia, Argentina, USA, Africa, Panama, Philippines, France, Portugal, Slovakia, etc), DLSU-D is very proud to have been the home of the FIRST HUMAN LASALLIAN STAR. The FIRST HUMAN LASALLIAN STAR was more than setting a world record. Its intention was to raise awareness and funds for the One La Salle Scholarship Fund campaign.. to be able to provide free education to at least 20% of the student population of each of the 17 La Salle schools in the country. With the outpouring support from the invitation of ICYL and LEM, the HUMAN LASALLIAN STAR has become part of a WORLDWIDE LASALLIAN HISTORY and LEGACY. It just proved that amidst diversity of race, culture, status, etc. we can all be ONE LA SALLE. As the Young Lasallians' Council has indicated in its page, "One La Salle .. is BIG!!! in the Philippines .. Thanks for setting such a great example.", we are very honored, humbled and proud that it all started in the Philippines in the province of Cavite. Thank you so much!
